Stranger in a strange land by Robert A. Heinlein
Book Number:RC 12651
4 sound cassettes
Valentine Michael Smith was born on Mars and educated to its way. A young
nurse kidnaps him from a hospital after his arrival on Earth and ensures
that he is protected from exploitation by scientists, politicians, and
newsmen. A mixture of fantasy, satire, and social criticism. Some strong
language and some explicit descriptions of sex.
Rerecorded as: RC 55938
I read this one at the encouragement of my husband Scott. This is one of
his all time favorites and now I know why. I am not normally a science
fiction fan, but this is classic. I enjoyedit very much and intend to read
more from this author. I give it a 5 out of 5.
Happy Reading,
Carla/TexasRed

Heinlein is known as one of the best science fiction writers ever to put words to paper (and any of it's evolved forms.) Personally, I suggest Job, a Comedy of Justice. Not everyone likes it, but I thought it wonderful. Starship Troopers has some interesting pollitical ideas I find intriguing. Actually, I'd pretty much suggest anything he wrote.
